🌐 I'm Lucas, an English to Brazilian Portuguese translator based in Rio, Brazil. As a Cultural Production Graduate, I've always been passionate for various forms of cultural expression, and I quickly found my place professionally as a mediator between cultures and languages. I became a certified interpreter in the Brasillis School of Conference Interpreting in 2016, a profession I immediately fell for!
👨🏻💻 Most of my professional life I spent writing translations for documents in fiction-based and technical projects for clients such as the United Nations, Cognita Schools, Osklen, Shell, Huawei, the Coca Cola Company, Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and Fiocruz.
🎮 I've always been passionate for videogames and entertainment software in general, so I specialized in Videogame Localization at LabPub College and TranslaStars, which complemented my experience in using CAT Tools, memoQ being the one I personally own and use the most, at an average rate of 2.500 words a day.
🎧 In addition, I have over 1.400+ hours of combined in-booth and consecutive interpretation provided, both on-site and online, specializing in the following fields: Energy, IT, Personal development, Medicine, and Environmental Advocacy. These include delegates from countries such as the US, England, India, Singapore, China, Japan, Mexico, and many more.

⭐ Ikinari
A game that challenges players to think beyond RPG tropes and follow a mystical master who often speaks in riddles, which presented challenges not just in translation but also in character limitation, as Brazilian Portuguese tends to add around 30% more characters!

⭐ Not Enough Time
A point-and-click game about time travel in which we must help young Ines to navigate various decades, all with their own time-specific localization challenges!
